La Union Surf Break 2

I did it! I was finally able to ride my very first wave! Yay me. :D

The La Union Surf Break 2 took place last November 2 to 4 in Urbiztondo Beach, San Juan, La Union. For only Php 300, I was taught personally by a local surfing instructor at the Surf Clinic and I had access to play the other fun games like volleyball and wall climbing for three days. But I didn’t play volleyball nor did I climb the wall. I almost did. I should have signed up for wall climbing when I had the chance. :(

It was a great event! Kudos to DOT, Power Up and LUSC for a successful 2nd annual Surf Break. :)

Was I stoked? Maybe just a little. :P

Yoru: Along the highway lang sya, Yoru, madali lang puntahan. Sakay ka ng bus na Vigan (Sa mga bus terminal sa Cubao) tapos sabihin mo ibaba ka sa Urbiztondo Beach sa San Juan, La Union. Pag binaba ka nila dun sa may Sebay beach resort, yun na yun. Tawid ka lang ng highway tas andun na yung beach. :)

aww that’s awesome, glad you got a chance to do that.

I’ve always wanted to try it but the beach is far away and quite frankly.. I’m convinced the waves would eat me rather than let me ride them.

I’d never make it up a rock wall either but I can play me some volleyball *flexes muscles* hehe

Melissa: Yeah, the waves can be scary! That’s why I stay away from the big ones who seem to want to eat me alive. lol.

Rock walls are more difficult to climb, I don’t want to try those. Heh. Volleyball, on the other hand, has always been a favorite. :)
