How often does one find friends who are not just the nicest ones online but also in the real world? Clearly blogging can bring us so much more than just having an “outlet”. Thanks to blogging I was able to get to know these three pretty ladies and gain new friends (err, except Riz — She’s been a friend of mine for God knows how long :D). I invited Liz, Mae and Riz for dinner earlier this week and they made me so happy by agreeing to come! We had dinner at Pier One (The Fort) last night with Deej, Eric and Riane of DME. We talked about a lot of things but mostly we discussed the different Philippine online games, and although the four of us didn’t know much about the topic, we were consumed just listening to them talk about Mobius Online — but more about that next time, I promise! ;)
They also had a lot of questions about blogging and the Pinoy blogosphere. They asked us when we started blogging and what do we usually blog about. It was just fair for them to throw these questions at us. After all, we are self-confessed blog addicts. lol.
Pinoy bloggers have come a long way from being low-profile Internet geeks individuals to becoming a community who’s “say” matters a lot in the worldwide web. I think the Blog Parteeh last January was an awesome initiative to unite the active bloggers in Manila. And of course there was the controversial Philippine Blog Awards last March which was organized to promote and recognize the top Pinoy blogs.. The 3rd Philippine Blogging Summit last April.. The very recent Taste Asia happening.. and many other events I neglected to mention. Today I no longer get surprised to hear news about off-line marketing initiatives seeking the opinions and reviews of bloggers. Doesn’t that make you proud to be a blogger? :)
Anywho - after dinner, the four of us (plus Deej!) walked around Bonifacio High Street and had fun taking some pictures of ourselves. We also stopped by Starbucks for a little “kape kape, chika chika” session we’ve been planning to have for weeks. We made the most out of our time together last night - after all, it’s not everyday that I get to bump into them, let alone spend four hours with them. Although I do see and talk to them online almost everyday. :D
Among the photos taken last night, the one below is my favorite! :cute:

“It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… Optimus Prime!”
More pictures!

Sa uulitin! ;)
