This is a post Blog Awards Night post. Get it? :P I know this is a very late one, but, heck, I wanna write something too! Even if it’s not linkbait-material. :dead:

Until this very minute, I haven’t finished reading the unread entries in my feed reader. I’m down to 12, but I feel that I need to stop. The controversies are too much. Haha.

For you who have no idea what the post-Blog-Awards controversies are, I believe Shari’s comprehensive post will tell you more about it. I am stunned by the issues that popped up suddenly after the Blog Awards Night, but I can’t say I’m that all surprised. I expected something like this would happen.. That’s just how it is. As Liz mentioned, Perfection is not possible nor desirable. Respect individual differences. You can’t please everybody. That’s something even I myself has proven true so many times.

Honestly though, I’m a little hurt after reading the negative feedback against the ushers/usherettes. I don’t want to be all defensive because I know the guests/finalists/representatives are entitled to their own opinion and they’re just voicing out their frustrations. But I’m still a little hurt. And apologetic. I know I wasn’t the best usherette, I was also pasaway that night. Ushering in a big semi-formal event like the Philippine Blog Awards was a first to me. So, I am very sorry. It’s just sad how some people are greatly disappointed in us.

Regarding the other controversy though, I choose not to say anything (anymore? Hehe). That one’s a very touchy subject, and I don’t think I want to add fuel to the fire. :left:

What’s done is done. Let’s just charge it to experience. :)

On the other hand, I am amazed at how good these Filipino bloggers are in coming up with linkbaits. See, I could never come up with something like that. :right:

Anyway, to all those I was with last Saturday, Jomar, Tina, Mae, Liz, Apples, Chris, Shari, Darwin, L.A., Cathy and Fer, it was nice working with all of you! Good job with the volunteering and stuff. Maybe we can all do a better job next time. LOL. To those I met at the BlogParteeh, Jeff, Eugene, AJ, and Pierre (who else?), it was nice seeing all of you again! Too bad I wasn’t there at the post-party in Shang. To the organizers, Abe and Gail (and the others!), congratulations! PBA ‘07 is a success, despite all the negative comments. ;) Thanks for all the ‘link luv’, guys! The time I spent helping in the event is worth it. Although I’d appreciate it even more if you add a “www” at the beginning of the URL. Heehee. :D

Gaya-gaya ako kay L.A. So I’m also posting my “tangible” contribution to the PBA ‘07. Haha. As Jomar said in item #1 of his “things you don’t know about the Philippine Blog Awards 2007” post, some of the graphics were done by us volunteers. Here’s my share:

I had fun doing them! Sana next year ulit. :D I’ll post the other photos I took with my camera later! I keep forgetting to upload them. They’re a bit outdated now. Obviously. :laidback:

Oh yeah. I should also probably mention that this site didn’t win any of the 2 awards. Boo. Not that I’m surprised. Haha! But just an FYI to those who’ve read my previous posts about PBA ‘07 and are waiting for an update. ;) If you want to see the list of winners, here they are:
