Whoever sentenced this poor rose to its untimely death disposal must either (1) loathe the man who gave it to her, (2) hate pink roses (or flowers in general) enough to throw them away, or (3) had so much flowers to take home with her that she had to get rid of the weight this one brings.
I witnessed this “crime scene” the night of February 14th just before I left the office. I brought my camera with me just in case I find something interesting to capture in the office or outside (e.g. Officemates with flushed faces who just received a gift (bouquet, balloon, teddy bear, or whathaveyou’s) or over-mushy couples who are HHWWPSSP. But because I was a little busy with work, I totally forgot about it. (Plus, there really wasn’t anything shoot-worthy. LOL) Just in time, I found this abandoned rose inside the comfort room. It looks so sad with its head bent a little. I would’ve picked it up and kept it for myself if not for the icky pile it was on top of. Hahaha! Just kidding. :P
Congratulations to all the women who survived the annual February 14th torture! Don’t you think Apples’ Vday post made a lot of sense? Ouch. :D

I had a very late birthday celebration last Friday. My officemates found out it was my birthday last January 29th when the list of January & February celebrants was announced in our “Townhall” (company meeting) last Thursday. I thought I got away with it until one of my teammates convinced me to treat the whole team to lunch. So I did. And it turned out to be a nice lunch together at Shakey’s Greenbelt-1 for all of us. :)

Warning: Shakey’s Greenbelt-1 has a very poor customer service. We actually waited an hour before our food was served and had to call the waiters’ attention five times because they seem to have forgotten that our table existed! Fortunately, the company is not that strict when it comes to lunchbreaks, so we extended our lunch until about 1:45pm.
