It’s that time of the year when one’s not supposed to leave the house without an umbrella in hand or tucked inside the bag in case the rain starts falling hard it would be very humiliating to arrive at the office all soaked. I normally don’t mind when it rains since it actually allows me to sleep snugly at night, but when it starts to pour harder and the roof and edges of the wall of the house start to leak because the landlord still hasn’t hired someone to fix the roof drainage is another story. When we agreed to rent this house over a month ago, we thought it was in good condition (since it didn’t look like it wasn’t). But now we know why the landlord is having it leased at such a cheap price! And the fact that we’ve been bugging them to have it fixed two weeks ago while they keep dismissing our complaints just makes matters worse. Legally, we could cancel our 1-year contract since a leaking house such as this is clearly not “in a good condition.” =/
After they’ve witnessed the agony we went through 3 days ago, our landlords are now ashamed of what we had to go through. Because of their negligence, most of our stuff are soaked (yes, including my books! #%@*!!!), and our floor got all slippery (but nobody slipped, thank God), and we had to spend the other night getting rid of all the water that found their way inside. They promised to have the roof drainage fixed as soon as it stops raining — coz if they don’t, then we’re definitely outta here! I always loved it when it rains, but I never thought I’d actually dread it now and pray for it to go away. Y.Y
But, hmm, I think I saw the sun faintly shining through the dark clouds this morning.. maybe it won’t be long till rainy season’s over.
Anyhow, ’nuff about that. Look at this spectacular thing I discovered yesterday:

Ain’t she a pretty sight? In the search engine optimization industry (which happens to be the nature of my work), a website’s page rank is an important thing to consider, if not the most important thing. Having had achieved a satisfactory result after four months of link-building makes all my effort worth it. And of course, I have to thank all the bloggers out there who generously placed a link from their weblogs to mine. Thanks, guys! ^_^
